Campaigns
Choose an impression or conversion goal, work with Campaign Agent, and launch and manage a campaign.
A campaign combines your goal, destination, audience, creative, schedule, and spending limit. Campaign Agent prepares an editable strategy from that information. You can work from the Web Dashboard or CLI; this guide follows the Dashboard workflow.
Open Campaigns at app.hellyeahai.com/campaigns to see drafts, campaigns in review, live campaigns, and finished work for the active organization.
Create a campaign
- Choose New Campaign.
- Describe the result you want in one sentence.
- Wait while Hellyeah prepares the strategy.
- Review the campaign type, creative, destination, targeting, schedule, and budget.
- Connect and verify X-Ray if the campaign goal is conversions.
- Fix each failed launch-readiness check.
- Choose Launch Campaign after the draft and reservation look right.
Example goal: “Get demo requests from independent dental clinics in New York and New Jersey.”

Write a useful goal
Name the result, customer, and market in one sentence.
- Weak: “Get more customers.”
- Useful: “Get demo requests from independent dental clinics in New York and New Jersey.”
Add the offer or destination when it changes the campaign. Do not list keywords. Hellyeah chooses them from the goal, market, and website.
How Campaign Agent works
Campaign Agent turns the result you describe into a campaign draft. It reads the Brand Profile, destination, market, budget, and tracker status, then proposes the campaign goal, Google campaign type, targeting, and creative requirements.
For Google Search, Campaign Agent can use Google Keyword Planner data to find relevant search demand and estimate cost and competition. For Performance Max, it prepares the audience and creative direction Google needs.
The agent does not publish ads or spend money. You can edit the draft until you submit it. Hellyeah reserves Wallet funds, reviews the campaign, and creates it on Google Ads only after your approval.
Choose a campaign goal
Choose the goal based on what you need the campaign to accomplish.
| Goal | Use it when | X-Ray requirement | Primary results |
|---|---|---|---|
| Impressions | You want more people to see and remember the business, offer, or message. | Optional for submission, but strongly recommended. | Impressions, reach, and cost per thousand impressions. |
| Conversions | You want a measurable action such as a signup, lead, demo request, or purchase. | Required. X-Ray must be connected and receiving events before submission. | Conversions, conversion rate, cost per conversion, and revenue when supplied. |
Without X-Ray, you can submit only an impression campaign. Hellyeah can still receive delivery metrics from the ad platform, but it cannot connect website actions to the campaign or send useful conversion feedback. If the real goal is leads or sales, results will usually be weaker.
Tutorial: launch an impression campaign
- Choose New Campaign.
- Ask for awareness, reach, or visibility. Example: “Reach independent gym owners in California with our fall offer. Spend $500 over 14 days.”
- Review the Campaign Agent draft, including the audience, locations, creative, schedule, and budget.
- Connect X-Ray when possible so you can see what visitors do after they click.
- Fund the Wallet and submit the campaign for review.
Judge this campaign first by impressions, reach, and cost per thousand impressions. Do not treat visibility as proof of sales.
Tutorial: launch a conversion campaign
- Connect X-Ray to the destination site and wait for the first event.
- Track the business action that matters, such as
signup_completed,demo_requested, orpurchase, and mark it as a conversion. - Choose New Campaign, then describe the customer and result. Example: “Get demo requests from independent dental clinics in New York and New Jersey. Spend $1,000 over 30 days.”
- Review the Campaign Agent strategy, destination, conversion goal, targeting, creative, schedule, and budget.
- Confirm that X-Ray is active, fund the Wallet, and submit the campaign for review.

X-Ray is not an optional reporting add-on for this goal. It supplies the website signal needed to submit and improve a conversion campaign. Read Track events and conversions before launch.
Google campaign types
- Google Search uses text ads and keywords. The draft shows search-demand evidence when Google supplies it. Keywords stay read-only because Hellyeah prices and launches the selected set.
- Google Performance Max uses copy, a landscape image, and a square image. Choose the final candidate for each image before launch. Google selects placements and may select the call-to-action wording.
Hellyeah launches campaigns through managed ad accounts. Read Managed Ad Accounts before planning around an existing Google Ads account.
Review the draft
Check these parts before launch:
Creative
Read every headline and description. Check the destination URL. Performance Max also needs campaign-ready landscape and square images.
Targeting
Check locations, languages, age ranges, and genders. Search campaigns also show keywords.
An empty location can mean worldwide targeting. “All” can mean no narrowing for age or gender. Read the summary instead of assuming an empty list is missing data.
Schedule and budget
The maximum campaign spend is the most Hellyeah reserves for that campaign. A dated flight must meet the effective daily minimum shown in the readiness rail.
Forecasts estimate what Google may deliver. They do not promise clicks, conversions, or full budget use.
Launch readiness
The rail checks creative, ad copy, budget, schedule, targeting, ad-account availability, Wallet funds, and X-Ray readiness for conversion campaigns. Open a failed row for the action needed.
Funding and review
Launch does two things:
- Hellyeah reserves the campaign budget from your Wallet.
- Hellyeah submits the campaign for review.
Review checks the campaign before ad-platform setup. Most reviews finish within one business day. The campaign detail page and email show the result.

Campaign lifecycle
The Dashboard shows the actions available for the current state. A rejected, failed, or cancelled campaign also shows its refund state.
Status guide
| Status | Meaning | Customer action |
|---|---|---|
| Draft | The campaign has not been submitted. | Review or continue editing. |
| In Review | Hellyeah is reviewing the funded submission. | Wait, or cancel to withdraw it. |
| Launching | Review passed and Google Ads setup is running. | Wait and follow the timeline. |
| Serving | The campaign can deliver ads. | Read results, pause, or cancel. |
| Paused | Delivery has stopped without closing the campaign. | Resume or cancel when the available actions allow it. |
| Completed | The campaign reached its end. | Read results and refund status. |
| Rejected | The campaign did not pass review. | Read the reason and check the refund. |
| Cancelled | The campaign was withdrawn or stopped. | Check the refund timeline. |
| Failed | Setup could not finish. | Read the failure reason and refund state. |

Pause and resume
Choose Pause Campaign to stop delivery without closing the campaign. Choose Resume Campaign to restart a paused campaign.
A campaign under admin review may block resume. The Dashboard shows only the actions the campaign can accept.
Cancel and refund
Cancellation closes the campaign.
- A funded campaign that never reached ad-platform setup receives a full refund without a 48-hour settlement wait.
- A campaign that may have spent money waits 48 hours while ad-platform spend settles. Hellyeah returns the unused reservation after settlement.
The confirmation dialog shows the best available refund estimate. Open Wallet to follow pending and completed refunds.

Read campaign results
Campaign detail can show impressions, clicks, click-through rate, spend, conversions, conversion value, and cost per conversion. X-Ray connects visitor and website conversion activity to campaign traffic. Conversion campaigns require that signal before submission.
Ad-platform reports can arrive after delivery. A recent pause or cancellation may still receive late spend updates during settlement.
Fix a blocked launch
- Creative: choose a ready Creative Set or generate one in Creatives.
- Ad copy: fill missing assets, remove duplicates, shorten over-limit text, and add a destination URL.
- Budget: raise the budget to the displayed minimum or shorten the flight.
- Wallet: top up enough to cover the reservation.
- Ad account: wait for availability or follow the message shown by the readiness rail.
- Tracking: connect X-Ray, publish the install, and wait for the first event before submitting a conversion campaign.
