Integrations
Install X-Ray with Google Tag Manager or connect Shopify tracking.
Open Tracking setup at app.hellyeahai.com/tracking/setup.
Google Tag Manager and Shopify connect website activity to X-Ray without changing how you manage campaigns.
This guide follows the Dashboard setup. The CLI section covers supported tracker and connection commands.
Before you connect
Check the organization switcher. The tracker and its data belong to the active organization.
Use one X-Ray installation method on a site. Running a manual snippet, Google Tag Manager tag, and Shopify Custom Pixel together can create duplicate events.
Google Tag Manager
Use Google Tag Manager when your team already publishes website tags through a GTM container.
Install with GTM
- Open Tracking and choose Google Tag Manager.
- Sign in with a Google account that can publish to the container.
- Choose the container.
- Let Hellyeah create its workspace, add the X-Ray tag, and publish it.
- Visit the live website once.
- Return to Hellyeah and confirm that the page says Receiving events.

A healthy setup shows Google connected, Receiving events, and X-Ray Is Live.

Choose manual setup on the GTM page when you need to create and publish the tag yourself.
Update or remove GTM
Edit the Custom HTML tag when Hellyeah gives you a replacement snippet. Pause or delete the tag when you switch to another installation method.
Shopify
Shopify sends browser activity and paid orders through separate paths. Check both statuses in Hellyeah.
Connect Shopify
- Open Tracking and choose Shopify.
- Choose Install on Shopify, pick your store, and approve the Hellyeah AI app in Shopify.
- Shopify returns you to Hellyeah. The app adds the Hellyeah pixel to your store for you, so there is no code to paste.
- Visit your storefront. The first pageview confirms tracking.
- Check both statuses in Hellyeah. A healthy setup shows Paid-order connection ready and Browser events verified.
No purchase is needed to finish setup. Place a test order only when your store process allows it.
Custom app credentials appear only for stores already connected with a custom app. Those stores add the X-Ray pixel themselves in Shopify Customer events and paste the code from Hellyeah without editing it. Do not send credentials in a support chat or screenshot.
Reconnect or disconnect Shopify
Reconnect after Shopify revokes access or the app configuration changes. Reinstall on Shopify opens the same Shopify install page. Disconnecting stops paid-order delivery and uninstalls the Hellyeah app and its pixel from your store. If Shopify does not confirm the uninstall, Hellyeah asks you to uninstall the app in Shopify admin. Stores on a custom app remove their Custom Pixel themselves.
Integration problems
- GTM preview works, but Hellyeah shows no event: confirm the tag uses Initialization - All Pages, the container is published, and the tracker domain matches the website.
- Shopify pixel has no activity: confirm the Custom Pixel is connected and visit the published storefront.
- Paid orders are missing: confirm the store connection is healthy and Shopify shows a paid order.
- Duplicate events appear: keep one X-Ray installation method and remove the others.
