Use Tracking in the Dashboard
Install X-Ray, verify the first event, and understand Dashboard analytics.
Open Tracking at app.hellyeahai.com/tracking to install X-Ray and read what visitors do on your site.
Set up X-Ray before submitting a conversion campaign. A connected tracker that is receiving events is a launch requirement for conversion goals. Without it, only impression campaigns can be submitted.
How tracking works
Set up X-Ray
- Finish your Brand Profile.
- Open Tracking.
- Choose GitHub, the recommended automatic setup, when your site is in a repository you can authorize.
- Complete the instructions and deploy the site change.
- Visit the live site once.
- Wait for X-Ray to show the first event.
GitHub (recommended)
Connect GitHub, choose a repository, and confirm the site domain. Hellyeah provisions the organization's X-Ray tracker, inspects the project, installs tracking, and opens a pull request for you to review and merge.
Use this method when the live website comes from a GitHub repository you can authorize.
Manual Installation
Choose your framework and package manager, then copy the install and usage snippets. Deploy the change to the site that matches the tracker domain.
Use the developer installation guide when you need framework examples or custom event code.
Google Tag Manager
Create a Custom HTML tag, paste the supplied snippet, use the Initialization - All Pages trigger, preview and publish the container, then visit the site. Read the GTM guide for each step.
Shopify
Add the Shopify Custom Pixel and complete the store connection shown on screen. Read the Shopify guide to verify browser events and paid orders separately.

Verify the first event
The Tracking page waits until X-Ray receives data from the selected install. Visit the exact deployed domain in a normal browser window.
![]()
When the event arrives, it appears in the Event Log with its time and value when available.
![]()
This first event confirms the tracker connection. Conversion campaigns also need the intended business action, such as a signup, lead, or purchase, tracked and marked as a conversion.
Do not install two methods at once. Two active installs can send duplicate events. Remove the old install before switching methods.
Read the reports
![]()
| Report | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Active | Unique sessions X-Ray saw in the last five minutes. |
| Visitors | Visitors during the selected date range. |
| Conversions | Events marked as business results. |
| CVR | Conversions divided by visitors. |
| Revenue | Value attached to revenue or purchase events. |
| Traffic breakdown | Paid and organic sources behind visits and results. |
| Journeys | Funnel stages and the movement between them. |
| Events | Recent tracked actions and their details. |
| Geography | Where tracked visitors came from. |
| Devices | Device categories used by tracked visitors. |
The date selector updates the reports. Comparisons use the prior matching period.
Track conversions and known users
Use custom events for actions such as signup_completed, demo_requested, or purchase. Mark the events that represent customer value as conversions.
Call identify() only after your app knows the user. X-Ray normalizes and hashes email and phone identifiers before storage. Read Identify Users and Tracking Privacy.
Manage the tracker
Choose Manage Tracker to inspect the current method, status, and instructions. Remove the old site install before switching to another method.
No data appears
Check these items:
- the deployed site contains the X-Ray install
- the tracker domain matches the site you visited
- an ad blocker or consent setting did not block the request
- you published the Google Tag Manager container
- the Shopify Custom Pixel and store connection show healthy states
- you merged and deployed the GitHub pull request
- only one installation method runs
